Process Control Engineer (Port Lavaca, TX):
Collect process data from each chemical plant’s PI relational databases, design advanced process properties via PI AssetFrame, and build PI-Vision frontend with process information based on plant’s requests. Evaluate feasibility of process control projects via exploratory data analysis. Develop steady-state process simulation models of distillation towers, heat exchangers, and chemical reactors with the specifications from plant’s request. Develop Dynamic Process simulation models based on plant detailed design structure (P&ID = Piping and instrumentation diagram) and modify original control strategy or develop new control strategy to stabilize process. Develop the optimized operating conditions of distillation towers and reactors via simulation model tuning. Perform and modify controller configurations of distributed control system (DCS) based on new control strategy. Develop supervised learning models for predictions of product quality and unsupervised learning model to detect abnormality of plant’s equipment.
Requires bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering/materials Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience on in lieu master’s degree in chemical/materials engineering.
