Project Engineer, Electrical (Port Lavaca)
Conduct in-depth research of electrical engineering specifications and requirements for a wide range of projects. Compile and assemble comprehensive design packages, clearly outlining the scope of work to be executed. Utilize industry-standard software and tools to design and develop intricate electrical control schematics, power distribution diagrams, alarm circuits, and electrical panel layouts. Design protection relay coordination for various applications. Troubleshoot complex electrical equipment issues and perform thorough root cause analysis. Provide oversight and direction to construction teams during the implementation and completion of projects. Review and investigate the performance of existing plant infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement and developing comprehensive design solutions. Continuously evaluate and test new technologies, providing long-term recommendations and plans for their successful implementation. Develop, implement, and maintain stringent electrical safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe and hazard-free working environment. Requires bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or closely related and 3 years of relevant experience or master’s degree in electrical engineering or closely related with 1 year of relevant experience.
